Kapton swatch (aoubt 0.50" square) from the Command Module 'Columbia' that was part of the spacecraft's thermal protection removed from external conical heatshield after splashdown by Mr Nasse in August, 1969. The gold side of the foil has been affexed to Plexiglass square in preparation for presentation. The reverse side (silver color) is exposed, the samples were destined for a more formal presentation, but are very interesting in their current form. Includes COA from consignor that reads in part: " This Kapton foil is from Apollo Command Module, 'Columbia'…This foil was given to me in 1969…."
